Julio Castillo
OWNER/TRAINER
Julio Castillo co-owner of Elite International Soccer. Julio grew up playing professional soccer starting at age 15 for Monterrey Mexico where he was then selected to play for the Mexico National team. Shortly after he was also called to the u20 US Mens National Team. When he turned 18 he had a strong desire to learn English and get an education so he went on to play at Arizona Western College where he was named All-American. He then transferred to NNU here locally where he was a two time All-American and GNAC player of the year and graduated with a degree in kinesiology. After college he went on to play professionally again in Sweden, Thailand and Spain. While in Spain he completed his level 1 Spanish coaching license. At 26 he finished his professional playing career and he began his journey sharing his passion for soccer with local kids in Idaho. Julio coaches full time. He is the mens assistant coach at NNU where they just had a history making season (2022), BTT club and full time at Elite. He studies the game more than anyone I know and has a passion for training athletes to reach their highest potential. Make sure when you see him you challenge him to a game of soccer tennis.
Mariah Castillo
OWNER/TRAINER
Mariah Castillo Co-owner of Elite International Soccer. She started playing soccer at the age of 4 and grew up playing here locally for what used to be FC Nova but is now BTT. She had always had a goal of playing collegiate soccer and signed to play at DII at NNU her senior year of high school. After her first season at NNU she transferred to The College of Idaho and finished playing her last 3 years of her career there. Her senior year of college she went and studied in San Sebastian, Spain where she became fluent in Spanish and got to play with a local basque team to keep up with the game. She majored in Exercise Physiology and minored in: Coaching, Spanish and Psychology. She is a NASM certified personal trainer and has a speciality in Performance enhancement, speed and agility and strength and conditioning. Mariah now also trains fitness clients and coaches athletes full time. She is the head coach at Vallivue High school and spends all of her time training athletes at Elite. Mariah is self-motivated and fearless. If you know her, you know her passion for young athletes and making them better on and off the field is what brings her life.
Brandon Mulhall
TRAINER
Brandon grew up in San Juan Capistrano, CA. He played club soccer for Bayern SC, winning the National Championship. He attended Mission Viejo High School where he was selected to the All tournament team in the college cup tournament, named the offensive player of the year and was selected to the all-conference team. After high school, he went on to play college soccer at Irvine Valley College for 2 years. His freshman year he was awarded player of the year as a center back and got selected to the all-conference team. As a sophomore he was moved to striker and became assist leader in the conference and was selected to the all-conference team again. After IVC, he committed to play here locally for NNU but suffered a career ending injury before he stepped on the field for NNU. The injury he suffered is what led him down the path to becoming a personal trainer and soccer coach. His passion for the game and his athletes does not go unnoticed. When you see him around make sure to meg him, he claims it never happens.
Graham Hatten
TRAINER
Graham Hatten is originally from Eugene Oregon. He recently graduated from The Evergreen State College, where he played on the men's soccer team from 2019-2022. Prior to that he played a season at Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC) in 2015. In his time off of playing college soccer, he coached club soccer for Eugene Metro Fútbol Club and was the interim head coach for the men's team at SWOCC. In 2018 Graham was the assistant men's soccer coach at Lane Community College and continued to coach for Eugene Metro FC. He also coached for Timbers/ Thorns Regional Training Camps (RTC) in the mid-valley region and was the director of Eugene Futsal.
Graham's passion for soccer took him to Paraguay in 2010. Living mostly in the capital Asunción he spent the majority of his focus on training with different soccer teams and playing games. In the heart of South America he was immersed in a culture of soccer daily, he often found himself on fields with top level players or on futsal courts playing street style soccer games.
Now, he is happy to continue to share the passion he has for the game with new and up and coming talented players. Player development is important to Graham and educating players within the pillars of the game is his plan. Players that work with Graham will gain skills and experience with the technical, tactical, physical and the mental aspects for the game of soccer.
